Then the last three half years I started becoming depressed, started drinking heavily, and watching copious amounts pornography. Finally I was diagnosed Ulcerative Colitis in October, 2006. Things had changed so much for me since the fall of 2001. It was rather absurd to realize the life I have now was something I neither wanted nor prepared for. Emotional I have had to come to terms with realization that I’m estranged from past self. Work everyday to try building some meaning for my life.

Dealing with lives that one doesn’t expected seemed a common theme; especially, with friends who were the original inspiration for the0crew. After reading parts of Michael Kimmel’s guyland and watching Anya Kamenetz segments’ in the PBS documentary Generation Next, I really felt I had interesting story/angle in my hands. Instead of the original angst ridden storyline of the novel, I actually have story with a level profundity and depth to it. Then it dawned on me that I should attempt to create a low budget documentary.

I’m going to try convey an over arching theme about our lives and the paths we’ve decided to take. This documentary will also try to explore the dichotomy between the exuberance and potential of youth with the reality and melancholy of adulthood. I would also like to discuss affect the internet has had on our lives. My goal is to make this a feature length documentary that will be distributed.

As of currently I’m working on the script for the0crew. I’m going to have the outlined finished by Tuesday, and then I’ll start working on the script which I shall finish in a couple weeks. I have as well asked via email two of the three people who I’d like to be in the documentary. I’m trying to touch bases with third person, and if it goes well I’ll ask them.
